This month marks Unique’s 30th anniversary in business serving libraries across the world. We are immensely proud to be part of the library community, and it is a privilege to partner with and serve over 2,000 public library clients and their patrons since starting as a company in 1994.

At Unique Management, we take pride in being a family-owned and founded business, free from corporate restraints. Our staff and leadership team are composed of veterans from the library world, who bring with them an in-depth understanding of the unique challenges and needs of libraries. Positive Impact on Libraries
We are proud of the direct effect our services have on our library customers. Through our Material Recovery Service, we have recovered well over $1 Billion dollars in materials and lost resources. This directly benefits all members of our library customer communities by ensuring access to the physical collection and helping to support budgets everywhere. Our MessageBee service helps libraries send more than 5 million communications each month, helping to make the library easier to use and helping libraries share their resources with their communities. Our Patron Services team has engaged in over 3 million patron customer service interactions over the past 10 years – enabling our customers to focus more on in-person service and increasing the flexibility of library operations. Over three decades, we’ve evolved alongside changing attitudes and technologies. We embraced the switch to fines-free policies across the country, adapting our Gentle Nudge service accordingly Moreover, we’ve been at the forefront of technological advancements within the library community, introducing innovations like MessageBee and next-generation SMS technology to empower libraries in engaging with their patrons.
