Unique Announces New Library Service Launces for Q2 

Over a dozen libraries have launched MessageBee, Automated Borrower Renewal (uRenew), Verified Borrower Registration (uRegister), and Patron Services in the second quarter of 2026

Verified Borrower Registration

Elk Grove Village Public Library in Elk Grove Village, Illinois launched Automated Borrower Registration. This service allows patrons to register for library cards online, streamlining the process while reducing manual workload for staff and improving access to library services.

Automated Borrower Renewal

Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) in Colorado Springs, Colorado launched Automated Borrower Renewal. This service automatically renews eligible library cards, ensuring uninterrupted access for patrons while reducing manual renewal efforts for staff. PPLD is a long-time Unique partner and continues to expand its use of services, including MessageBee notifications and marketing as well as Curbside Communicator.

Patron Services

Jefferson County Public Library in Colorado launched Fully Managed Chat. This addition represents a new channel that patrons can use to engage with the library. A partner since 2008, Jefferson County has expanded their communication and support solutions with this addition.

MessageBee

Albany Public Library in Albany, Oregon launched MessageBee SMS. Albany is a current Unique client, having used our Material Recovery service since 2006. This addition expands their communication capabilities with timely and reliable SMS notifications. 

Boynton Beach City Library in Boynton Beach, Florida launched MessageBee Email, SMS, and Marketing. A Unique partner since 2011, this expansion enhances engagement through branded, multi-channel communication.

 Fairfax County Public Library launched MessageBee SMS notifications. Already using MessageBee for email notifications and marketing, this expansion adds another key communication channel for reaching patrons effectively.

Irving Public Library in Irving, Texas launched MessageBee Voice. Irving is one of Unique’s longest-standing clients. Having partnered with Unique since 1997, this new service marks nearly three decades of collaboration. This expansion supports automated voice notifications and strengthens patron communication.

Kitsap Regional Library in Bremerton, Washington launched MessageBee Voice and SMS. A valued Unique partner since 1999, Kitsap’s implementation strengthens multi-channel communication and improves outreach to patrons.

Lisle Library District in Lisle, Illinois launched MessageBee SMS for transactional and marketing notifications. Currently utilizing Material Recovery and uRenew services, Lisle’s addition of SMS further strengthens their communication toolkit.

Multnomah County Library in Portland, Oregon launched MessageBee Voice. This new service complements existing print notifications and expands outreach by delivering voice notifications in five languages to support a diverse patron base.

Old Bridge Public Library in Old Bridge, New Jersey launched MessageBee SMS Marketing. This capability enables the library to deliver timely updates, program information, and important announcements through targeted text messaging.

Old Colony Library Network (OCLN) in Canton, Massachusetts launched MessageBee SMS notifications. OCLN is a consortium of public libraries serving communities throughout southeastern Massachusetts, and this implementation enhances their ability to communicate efficiently with patrons.

Pueblo City-County Library District in Pueblo, Colorado launched MessageBee Voice and Email. These added communication channels support consistent, multi-channel outreach and improve overall patron engagement.
