The California library system adds MessageBee Phone to their extensive suite of Unique Services
Unique Management Services is proud to announce the addition of MessageBee Phone Notifications for Shasta Public Library this week. Patrons have been receiving SMS notifications from the library since September, and the library has now expanded into a new MessageBee channel for their patrons. Unique and Shasta Public Library have partnered together since 2008, with other services including Material Recovery and MessageBee SMS.
With the county seat in Redding, Shasta County is home to 177,000 people in the heart of northern California. Shasta County is home to impressive views of Mt. Shasta and the Shasta Dam, the second largest in the country.
MessageBee is a powerful and customizable messaging tool that offers numerous features, making it an essential asset for libraries looking to enhance their communication strategies with patron-focused communication.
Key features of MessageBee include:
- Simple set-and-forget: Once integrated, MessageBee automatically sends patrons phone-based updates on their library transactions, like holds, pre-due, and overdue notices.
- Multiple language support: Send phone notices in either Spanish or English, whatever the patron indicates on their ILS profile.
- Customization: Libraries can opt to either record their own messages or have an automatically generated text-to-speech notification for their patrons.
